Scott Sommer

Scott Sommer is a media and marketing consultant, executive and entrepreneur who has spent the past decade making deals within the Asia investment corridor on behalf of various Chinese media companies, and the past two decades working in the Hollywood entertainment sphere.  

 

As a producer and writer, Scott has worked with all of the major Hollywood studios, and has also served as a production executive at 20th Century Fox, Carolco Pictures, and most recently Star Pictures China, a division of CMC’s Star TV, where he ran its International division and acquired remake rights to western TV programs.  He is currently a partner in international marketing agency Mr. Foster, and oversees the production company Blue Heaven Entertainment.  

 

Scott graduated from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts and serves as an Executive Partner and Mentor to USC’s Marshall School of Business MBV program for veterans. He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Writer’s Guild of America, and the Asia Society. When the world isn’t under lockdowns he manages his work from homes in Shanghai and Los Angeles.
